A computer and communication system that can process transactions with a larger number of instructions or can process transactions for only one processor. Note: An Acquirer Host System (AHS) may directly or indirectly support terminals in trading companies and exchanges messages with the association's communications network and with issuers via the acquirer module. In many cases, the terms 'acquirer' and 'acquirer host system' are used in the same sense.
