According to preliminary estimates, the new programme has the potential to mobilise investments in energy renovations totalling up to CZK 100 billion in the coming years. We expect a smooth and steady involvement of up to a thousand house owners per month and a sustained interest of tens to hundreds of housing cooperatives or unit owners' associations.

The aim of the programme is not only to reduce the energy consumption of residential buildings, but also to promote more affordable and better quality housing. Renovations can help households reduce regular energy costs, increase property values and at the same time contribute to the modernisation of the housing stock in the Czech Republic. The programme also has a positive impact on the economy by encouraging investment in construction, technology and related services.

The interest-free loans will be intended for owners of single-family houses as well as for unit owners' associations and housing cooperatives. The specific terms of the loan will depend on the type of property, the extent of the planned renovation, the amount of the loan and compliance with the conditions of the programme.
