Banks associated in the Czech Banking Association consider customer care and customer satisfaction as one of the important pillars of their business strategy. Striving to achieve a relationship of trust and cooperation between the bank and its client is a central motive of the banks' activities.

In order to achieve a uniform approach of the member banks to the specific position of individual clients and to set a certain minimum standard of care for this type of client, the Czech Banking Association (hereinafter referred to as "CBA") issues this Standard (hereinafter referred to as "Standard"), with the proviso that it is left to the discretion of the individual member banks whether to apply an even higher standard to their clients. The CBA believes that the Standard can make a significant contribution to ensuring that customers are not only aware of their rights in relation to banks, but also that they exercise them appropriately.
