Technological innovations can protect more than 90% of the funds that fraudsters try to siphon off. But the weak link remains the human being. That's why the Czech Banking Association is launching the fifth edition of the #nePINdej! educational campaign, which aims to teach the public to recognise and defend themselves against fraud.

"This year the #nePINdej! is strongly targeting the 12-19 year old generation, who are the worst performers on tests in the long term and also spend more than four hours a day online. But the campaign also targets parents and teachers, as they play a crucial role in children's cyber-education. Another new feature is the main communication line '#nePINdej a Share!', which aims to make people not only use the advice they have received themselves, but also pass it on to their loved ones," says Zdeňka Hildová, Director of CBA Educa.

This year's edition will involve influencers (e.g. Oskar Hes, Naty Hrychová), new channels such as YouTube and Snapchat will be added, and communication will focus more on practical advice and banking tools - for example, how to check whether a real banker is calling or how to stop a suspicious payment. The CBA is also working with schools and teacher organisations to bring cyber security directly into the classroom. Last year, it also launched a new competition called CyberGame, an interactive test on the Kahoot! platform in which primary and secondary school pupils compete against each other to learn about cyber security.
