Jan Juchelka, the new President of the Czech Banking Association
Chairman of the Board of Directors and CEO of Komerční banka, a. s.

A graduate of the Silesian University in Opava. Since 1995 he has worked in the National Property Fund of the Czech Republic, in 2002-2005 he was the Chairman of the Executive Committee. In 1999-2006 he was a member of the Supervisory Board of Komerční banka. He joined Komerční banka in 2006, first as Director of the Prague Corporate Banking Business Division and then in the same year as a member of the Board of Directors responsible for the management of the Top Corporations and Investment Banking divisions. Since 2012, he has worked at Société Générale's headquarters in Corporate and Investment Banking as Managing Director, Head of Coverage with responsibility for corporate clients in the CEE, MENA and Africa region. At the same time, he served as Senior Banker for the CEE region. KB's Board of Directors has elected Jan Juchelka as Chairman of the Board of Directors and CEO of Komerční banka, effective 3 August 2017. Jan Juchelka is a member of the CCEF (Conseiller du Commerce Éxterieur de la France), Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Blue Pyramid and, as of January 2022, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Jistota Foundation. In 2020, he was a member of the National Economic Council of the Government (NERV). He has received prestigious awards such as TOP Manager of the Year, TOP Responsible Leader of the Year and Banker of the Year. In 2023, he was awarded the Chevalier de l'orde national du Mérit, or Knight of the National Order, for his outstanding services to the French nation.

President of the CBA is Jan Juchelka
