International bank account number

It is an account number in an international format agreed within the EEA (European Economic Area, i.e. 25 EU countries + Liechtenstein, Norway and Iceland). The bank provides the account number in this format to the customer (account holder) on the account statement. The number should be used in this format in case of payment to an account within the EEA;
