A contractual agreement whereby the provider of a patent, trademark, service mark, copyright or know-how sells or otherwise makes available its rights to another person for a specified agreed compensation (remuneration). This may consist of a fixed amount, a variable (depending on the volume of production) amount, or a combination of both.
