This is an environment where the transaction is carried out under all of the following conditions: - the card is present, - the cardholder is present, - the cardholder makes the transaction directly at the self-service terminal, - if authorisation is required, it is carried out electronically. Transactions in this environment include retail transactions and TE transactions at a self-service terminal, cash withdrawals at an ATM, card purchases at an ATM, top-up or cash-out transactions at a special facility. Transactions in this environment exclude transactions conducted in a face-to-face and card-not-present environment.
